I agree with the comment below me by "RovertScott".
The story resembles too many shows I've seen in the past.

Especially that monster towards the end.
It look too much like an angel from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Though,
The animation, shadows, 3D and visual effects are really breathtaking in this.
